People in Delhi and National Capital Region might face some trouble in moving to the desired locations as the drivers of Ola and Uber prepare themselves to go on strike from 11 AM on Tuesday.

"There has been no satisfactory response from either the companies or the Delhi government. Our demands have not been met, nor has there been any assurance given to us of any resolution. We have tried to get ourselves heard through peaceful means earlier, but it has not worked. On Tuesday, we will blockade the roads and will make sure that no taxi or auto operates on the roads," informed Sarvodaya Driver Association

This one day strike may start from Majnu ka Tila in Delhi. Following which the drivers will march towards the Delhi Chief Minister's office.

There has been a agitation earlier this February led by Sarvodaya Driver Association.

It has been claimed by the association that the drivers of other taxi associations and auto drivers will also support the strike.

Both Ola and Uber refused to comment on the story. However, a source said that the strike is being led by invested parties of other taxi operators and does not have any support from the drivers.

Government regulated fares, reasonable operating hours, and reintroduction of incentives are some of the claims of the association

The Association threatens that there are more agitation would start across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and, Hyderabad if the government authorities and the companies continue to ignore their demands.

Difficulties such as maintenance of the cars and EMIs seem to be a great burden for these drivers which are leading them to agitate.

The strike in February saw massive participation from drivers across the country. Several drivers reported that they have been forced to join the strike.
